Silvia: Hello and thanks for having me here today!
MM: Thanks for coming. How long have you been writing?
Silvia: I’ve been writing regularly with the intent of publishing for thirteen years. I was first published in 2004.
MM: What made you decide that you wanted to put yourself out there to publish?
Silvia: I’d wanted to write for years but it took a New Year’s resolution that I would write for at least 15 minutes a day to actually get moving and get a book finished. I never questioned that once I finished it I would submit it to be published. I love the idea of sharing my stories with other.
MM: Would you ever write a hetero romance? Why or why not?
Silvia: I have written several m/f and m/m/f romances—historicals, sci fi and paranormal. I would definitely consider writing more. Right now I have so many m/m story ideas and series I need to finish that it’s a matter of finding the time.
MM: What is your opinion on the “chicks with dicks” analogy? In your opinion, is it wrong for your males to be emotional or romantic?
Silvia: I think plenty of men have the capacity to be emotional or romantic and I’ve written characters who are. I think the most important thing is to be true to who your characters are and not try to make them fit a stereotype.
MM: Your first published book?
Silvia: My first published book was an m/m/f sci fi, Shifter’s Station Part 1: Pilot’s Bargain. It’s out of print right now but I’m revising it and will have it up for sale again in a few months.
MM: I’m of the opinion that erotica doesn’t have to be real all the time to make a good story, what are your thoughts?
Silvia: I agree. I want my characters to be authentic but I see romance as a fantasy, a story to read to escape. I hope to make the story so compelling that the readers buy into that fantasy.
MM: What books are you reading at the moment? Its okay to give a fellow author a plug!
Silvia: I’m nearly done with Charlie Cochet’s Hell or High Water and I love the world she’s built. Next up for me is Jordan Hawk’s Necropolis, the fourth book in the Whyborne and Griffin series which I adore.
MM: What are you working on now?
Silvia: I’m currently working on Wild R Christmas. It’s alternates in POV between two Wild R Farm couples, Cole/Jonah and Wes/Tristan but all the characters from previous books will appear and of course they’ll all celebrate Christmas together.
MM: As an m/m romance author or gay fiction author, should there be more m/m or gay YA novels? Why or why not?
Silvia: I think there is a huge need for gay YA novels so that gay teens have a chance to read books about character like them. I know that for me as a teen, the people I met in books were friends to me and I think all teenagers should have books they feel like that about.
MM: As an m/m romance or gay fiction writer, what stereotype of gay men bothers you the most?
Silvia: The idea that all gay men are feminine and like decorating and shopping. The gay men I know have as varied personalities and the straight men I know.

After experiencing what happens when someone you love walks away and never looks back, Brandon decided love was for fools. Then he spent a summer with Zach. He struggled against feelings that grew every time he and Zach were together, telling himself they were just having a fling. When Zach confessed his love one hot summer night, Brandon panicked. He scoffed at Zach and made sure he walked away first.
Three years later, their paths cross again when Zach becomes the vet at Wild R Farm where Brandon works. Brandon realizes his feelings haven’t changed, but Zach treats Brandon with scorn despite Brandon’s every attempt to show Zach he’s no longer the self-centered man he used to be. When a night out ends with Brandon driving Zach home, confessions are made on both sides, and hope begins to build in Brandon’s heart.

Brandon settled his and Zach’s tabs and managed to get Zach to his truck without incident. “Did you drive here?”
“Nope, Martin picked me up.”
Brandon snorted again. Fucking Martin. The two of them together was so not going to happen.
Zach giggled. “I’ve always loved it when you go all ferocious stallion.”
Oh fuck. “Just get in the truck, Zach.” Brandon helped him step up and maneuver himself into the passenger seat.
“It’s fucking wrong.“ Zach said as he laid his head back on the seat.
“That you’re so fucking hot.”
No. No, no, no. This was not happening. “Just close your eyes and stop talking. You’ll be better off that way.” Maybe he’d pass out and then Brandon’s dick could stop reacting to his soft words and beautiful eyes and everything that made him the only man Brandon really wanted.
“No, I’ll forget it all. Best thing about being drunk. I might as well say what I want because who will care later.”
“Nah, you never did. That’s what makes it so unfair.”
Brandon rubbed his forehead, trying to ward off a massive headache. “You’re wrong about that. I—”
“What? You didn’t mean to look at me like I was a bug you wanted to squash when I said I loved you?”
“You’re drunk. Really fucking drunk, and I’d be an idiot to say anything now. More of an idiot than I already have been and—”
“Fuck, you’re babbling.” Zach looked extremely amused.
Brandon scowled at him. “Nope, it’s your imagination”
“Yeah, it is”
Zach grinned. “You could kiss me to shut me up.”
